Cancellation policy

Cancellations can be made up to 48 hours before the start time of a booked session. If a session is cancelled within 48 hours of the start time, the full session fee is payable.

Please note that it isn’t possible to rearrange or postpone sessions at short notice.

Why do I charge for cancellations within 48 hours?

If a session is cancelled within 48 hours of the start time, I still charge for the session for the following reasons:

  • At short notice, I’m unlikely to be able to offer the session to someone else. This means I lose the income for that time, and a stable income is important for me to continue working sustainably with clients.
  • I plan my time and energy around the sessions that are booked. With less than 48 hours’ notice, it’s difficult to reorganise that time in a way that makes good use of it.
  • I also spend time preparing for and reflecting on our work together, either independently or in supervision. This work still takes place even if a session is cancelled at short notice.

What if your unwell or something unexpected happens?

I appreciate that illness or emergencies can arise unexpectedly. However, to keep my practice sustainable, I cannot take on a financial liability for another person’s illness or unforeseen circumstances. Late cancellations are therefore charged, whatever the reason.

What about the free exploratory session?

If you cancel your free initial session with more than 48 hours’ notice, you’re welcome to rebook another free exploratory session.

If the free initial session is cancelled within 48 hours of the start time, it will be counted as having been used. You’re very welcome to book a further session, but this will be chargeable.

Navigating cancellations can be tricky, and I appreciate your understanding. I would ask you to check that you are happy to adhere to this policy if you choose to work with me.
